It was now time to finish making and installing the teeth.
6 more bottom teeth were made.
I then painstakingly sewed in each tooth one at a time with a needle I had to custom curve with my heat gun (shout out to Willow Creative for the idea of using head to make the needle).
I used a white velvet to make the teeth but Stitch doesn’t have pearly whites! He has some yellow chompers.
I could have ordered a correct color fabric but wanted to use what I had on hand at this point (plush I had already made most of the teeth).
I ended up just coloring the teeth with some watered down acrylics. Made them a touch more stuff but are still plenty soft to touch.
OOPS I missed his back upper teeth!
Added those and we are now at 284 pieces of fabric
7 foam
The mouth is now complete!
I made his tongue by making a pattern off of the foam tongue I carved earlier.
I used a pink velvet.
The line down the center was carefully stitched to the divot in the tongue. The whole tongue is completely encased in fabric similar to that of the teeth and nose for ease on instillation.
This adds 4 more pieces of fabric and 1 piece of foam.
Total pieces of fabric is 288
foam is 8
