Next I had to add the legs!
Each claw or toenail is 3 pieces (the hand claws were only 2).
Each toe was 1 unique piece with multiple darts.
The bottoms were 1 fur piece each.
But the legs were 5 pieces each, this makes both legs 44 pieces so far.
Do also note that I trim the fur away from the seam allowance… for EVERY fur piece.
Here I stuffed the toes (fingers were stuffed the same way) just like the tail.
The foot pads were done the same way as the palm pads except there is an added crease line sewn in.
Finally an internal bean pouch is created.
This brings us to a total of 60 sewn pieces for both legs.
The legs are now attached to the body!
The body was just tightly stuffed in a way that it pushed the spines out enough to look good.
Our grand total is now at 215 sewn pieces and 3 foam pieces.
